About the scheme
Farishtey is Punjab’s road-accident response initiative, intended to encourage bystanders to help injured people reach hospital promptly and improve access to emergency treatment. The Punjab announcement described free treatment during an initial emergency period and a reward for a person who brings an injured victim; operational limits, participating hospitals and current payment conditions must be checked against the latest order.
For Punjab Farishtey Scheme treatment or helper-reward information, use current state health and police guidance. The Farishtey road accident scheme promotes timely care and good-samaritan assistance while emergency clinicians determine the treatment required.
Eligibility
Road accident victims and persons assisting them, subject to the active scheme rules, hospital participation and reporting requirements.
Benefits
Emergency treatment support under the applicable conditions and any good-samaritan reward authorized by the current Punjab order.
Documents required
Accident and hospital records, victim identity if available, helper identity and bank details for a reward claim, and police or facility documentation as required.
How to apply
Seek emergency care at a participating hospital, ensure the accident is recorded through the prescribed process and follow the health authority’s claim instructions.
